Dynamics 365 Business Central licensing and pricing

   

With the launch of Dynamics NAV 2018, we have with all probability seen the last version under this particular name. Microsoft has announced that the 2018 version will be the last of the traditional versions and that it in the future will become part of the cloud application Dynamics 365 Business Central.

With the announcement of Dynamics 365 Business Central, we start to see the first steps towards a digital transformation to the cloud. Furthermore, older versions of Dynamics NAV will not be getting any updates or new functionalities going onwards. This means that we should not expect a Dynamics NAV 2019, but instead, we should start to differentiate between Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 on-premises and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 Cloud.  

 

Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises - NAV in the cloud

 

The Dynamics 365 Business Central solution is a complete enterprise management solution with a modern user experience and the flexibility to be installed as cloud-based or in the local environment, depending on the business needs of the company. The transition from classic Dynamics NAV to 365 Business Central is as hassle-free as any common Dynamics NAV upgrade, and Business Central offers the benefits of a cloud-based solution without losing any standard functionality. 

With Dynamics 365 Business Central, you will therefore still get the same standard functionality as with Dynamics NAV. Besides the most significant visual change, being the green interface as opposed to the old blue one, there are some major benefits.

Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud

Given that Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a cloud-based IT-platform, everything is delivered as a service from Microsoft and prices are calculated per month based on your specific needs, which can be adjusted from day to day. 

With the introduction of Continia solutions for Business Central Cloud, we are going to market with a much more flexible and scalable program for the acquisition of our solutions.

All of these solutions will still be 100 % supported by Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider partners in the same way as standard Continia solutions for NAV customers are supported by NAV Partners.

Continia solution apps will be divided into an Essential Module with a free 30-day trial offer. On top of this, additional Feature Modules will be available.
